Izmir Zaferi (Victory) Rugby League is proud to announce our new main sponsors ‘D5 Global’ and first minor jersey sponsor, ‘Seven’ for the 2021 Turkish Rugby League season and local Rugby League development. This will include budget toward the launch of an Izmir Zaferi Women’s team and the development of Youth Rugby League. The initial investment into Izmir Rugby League will be thirty thousand Turkish Lira. Our goal to significantly increasing this figure through innovative community programs, sponsor engagement, merchandising and increased participation.
Our partnership with D5 Global aims to leverage the experience and connections of the team at D5 Global in other countries whilst facilitating D5 Global’s long term goal of building a hub in the Izmir region as a base for Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East.
Additionally, Izmir Rugby League will be partnering with ‘Seven’ to launch a new Izmir based entrepreneurs network further building the potential of both organisations. The pandemic has been disruptive to the momentum of Izmir Zaferi, yet this initial investment speaks to a bright future for Rugby League in the Izmir and Aegean region.
